WhatsApp Business

Message travelers on WhatsApp from the CRM.

Overview

Connect your WhatsApp Business Account and hold two-way WhatsApp conversations with customers from the CRM chat. Send messages from your Business number and have customer replies land back in CRM → Chat alongside your in-app threads. Works with the Meta Cloud API, 360dialog and Twilio — credentials are validated on activation and inbound webhooks are signature-verified.

Setup

  1. Activate the integration

Activate WhatsApp for free — TripCreator does not charge for this integration; WhatsApp Business messaging costs are billed directly by Meta.

  2. Choose your provider

Set the provider to Meta, 360dialog, or Twilio. Meta and 360dialog support the full feature set (two-way chat, templates, delivery receipts); Twilio supports two-way text + delivery receipts.

  3. Enter your API credentials

Enter your Phone Number ID and a System User Access Token from Meta Business Manager. Credentials are validated against Meta on activation, so you never end up silently in mock mode.

  4. Confirm your sender phone number

Enter the WhatsApp Business number in E.164 format. It must match the number registered in your WhatsApp Business Account; all outbound messages display from this number.

  5. Configure the inbound webhook

Point the WhatsApp callback URL at TripCreator and verify it, so customer replies and delivery receipts flow back into CRM → Chat.

  6. Chat from the CRM

Open CRM → Chat, create a WhatsApp conversation with the customer’s E.164 number, and message them directly; replies appear in the same conversation.

Requirements

  • A verified WhatsApp Business Account (via Meta Business Manager)
  • A dedicated phone number registered as a WhatsApp Business number
  • A Meta Cloud API Phone Number ID and System User access token
  • Customer phone numbers in E.164 format (e.g. +44 7700 900123)
  • Recipients should have opted in to WhatsApp messages from your business

WhatsApp Policy

WhatsApp Business requires approved message templates to start conversations, or free-form replies within a 24-hour customer-service window. Comply with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy and obtain recipient opt-in.
