Bókun

Sync experiences from Bókun.

Your Bókun plan

Overview

Connect your Bókun account and TripCreator turns every experience you have a contract with into a first-class supplier. Live availability, per-unit pricing, and OCTO-compliant bookings flow end-to-end: pricing categories per option, a time-slot picker for fixed-start tours, pickup-point selection, and booking questions routed through the Survey UI. Cancellations and modifications fan out to Bókun automatically. Experiences only — legacy accommodation rows are excluded so they don’t conflict with Travia, the canonical stays provider.

Sync contracted experience suppliers (tours, activities, transfers) — one click
Sync each supplier’s products × options with units, pickups, and questions
Live per-unit availability and pricing via the OCTO pricing capability
Time-slot picker for fixed-start products
Pickup-point selector for tours with hotel/airport/landmark pickup
Booking-question fields routed through TripCreator’s Survey widget
Reservations created on your behalf via two-step OCTO hold → confirm
Cancellations + modifications call through to Bókun from operations
Live + sandbox environments per workspace

Setup

  1. Create a Bókun API key + enable OCTO

In Bókun → Settings → API, create a key with the “Book and Ops” role and your booking channel, flip “Enable OCTO on this API key” ON, and copy the generated OCTO token (not the Access or Secret key).

  2. Pick live or sandbox

Integrate against the sandbox first, then switch to live. OCTO tokens are environment-specific.

  3. Paste the OCTO token, validate, install

Paste the OCTO token and validate; install creates the integration with a default mapping profile you can edit later.

  4. Sync your inventory

Click “Sync now” to fetch every contracted experience supplier; products × options land as supplier products (legacy accommodation is filtered out automatically).

  5. Map pricing categories (optional)

Bind OCTO unit codes (ADULT / CHILD / SENIOR …) to your workspace pricing categories, or rely on case-insensitive name matching.

  6. Drag experiences into itineraries

Bókun suppliers appear in the planner’s inventory picker under Integrations; pick date, time slot, pickup and per-category quantities, and live availability + pricing surface in the cost overview.

Requirements

  • An active Bókun account with at least one experience contract
  • A Bókun API key with the OCTO toggle enabled and the “Book and Ops” role
  • The OCTO token Bókun generates after enabling OCTO (distinct from the Access/Secret keys)
  • A vendor ID if your account is a multi-vendor distribution channel

Bókun OCTO API Terms

Bókun is the inventory + reservation marketplace; TripCreator connects via an OCTO token on your API key. Supplier contracts are managed in Bókun; rate limits and cancellation penalties follow Bókun's policies.
